The Project involved road transport of 12 wind turbines and all support equipment from Port of Dunedin to the Mahinerangi Wind Farm site 70 km South West of Dunedin. Turbine components began arriving at the Port during December 2010/ January 2011. |

Main components:
- 36 towers up to 28.5m x 4.1m x 4.1m - each weighing up to 76 tonne.
- 36 blades 44.5m x 3.2m x 3.6m - each weighing 12 tonne.
- 12 Nacelles - each weighing 80 tonne.
- 12 ISO container loads of support equipment.

Responsibilities included:
- Discharge from heavy lift ships hook and movement to a temporary wharf storage site.
- Progressively transporting all the equipment from the Port area on custom designed trailer equipment.
- Logistics working with local council and NZTA closing the Dunedin Motorway on specified periods five days per week for the over dimensional loads.
- Receive and discharge all components at the project site and handle through to positioning for final installation.
